“If anyone is contemplating on having their wedding, celebration, or event at Farnham Castle – we would recommend it without hesitation based on our experience hosting our two-day November wedding there. The enchanting venue paired with the incredible hospitality from the staff allowed everyone to relax and fully immerse themselves in the celebration.
The preservation of Farnham Castle creates an aura that allow everyone to take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The elegant décor of the ceremony rooms transports people as close to a fairy tale as one can get. Whilst a simple stroll around the castle grounds gave our guests a sense of peace.
From behind the scenes, the catering and hospitality team know exactly what they’re doing. Their menu – everything from the canapes, the wine selection, and drinks choices at the bar had something for everyone. Breakfast in the Library allowed everyone to recharge and relive the memories they made the night before.
And all of this would not be possible without the support of Piper, Deborah and Geraldine. They were accommodating and honest about what could and could not be done and most of all, they listened to what we had to say and endeavoured to deliver above and beyond our expectations. Their attention to detail and ability to execute plans with precision made our dream wedding come to life. For anyone else out there looking at Farnham Castle, you’re in good company!”

It was the most amazing day and we are so grateful to you and the team. You were just fabulous and we can’t thank you enough. In particular, I felt so at ease in the run up to the day because I knew no question was too small to ask. I felt listened to with my plans and you gave really good advice based on past experiences at the venue. Your professionalism all day was incredible and your stamina is insane! Pete wanted to say that you were unbelievable under pressure and we didn’t notice any stresses (even though they were no doubt there). I run events for a living so to give up control to someone else is challenging but I couldn’t have had a more perfect person support us – thank you. “The venue is absolutely stunning, with so many choices for ceremony locations and endless photo opportunities. Our guests all complimented the quality of the food and loved the espresso martinis we served after dinner.
We loved that so many of our family and friends could stay at the venue with us and the breakfast the next morning was great. The getting ready rooms for both the bride and groom were fantastic.
Even with some light rain, the venue ensured we could have our wedding outside in the rose garden, which was picture-perfect, with the old keep in the background of our photos.
Our coordinator Gema was incredible at every step of the planning process and was calm, organised and professional on the day.
We would definitely recommend Farnham Castle to other couples getting married in Surrey!”

“From our first visit to Farnham we knew that this was the wedding venue for us. Gema who showed us around was amazing, informative and so welcoming! We were then lucky enough to have Laura as our wedding coordinator who was just a dream! She was such a calming presence on the day and couldn’t do enough for us.
All of the staff were incredible and everything was completely perfect. All of our guests were stunned by the venue and highly praised the food.
We cannot recommend Farnham Castle enough, it was everything we wished for and more!”

“Farnham Castle is a truly magical wedding venue, offering a stunning setting, elegant decor, and outstanding food. The castle’s historic charm provides a fairy-tale backdrop for the wedding day I’ve always dreamed of. The food and drink were exquisite, and the team went above and beyond to recreate a favourite dish of ours, which added a personal touch and received numerous compliments. The team’s hospitality made the entire experience unforgettable for us and our guests – with a highlight being a late-night pizza waiting for us in the honeymoon suite! Our coordinator, Gema, was fabulous and put us (and the Mother of the Bride) at ease on the lead up! We are truly grateful for making our wedding day so special and could not recommend Farnham Castle more.”

“We could not have been happier with our wedding at Farnham Castle. From the offset, the team were communicative and helpful and 6 months before our wedding we were assigned our wedding organiser, Gema who was simply incredible! Gema was always available to answer our many questions whether about the larger or finer details, which made us feel surprisingly relaxed in the lead up to the wedding.
Having quite complex dietary requirements, I knew straight away when I saw the food options that we would be in safe hands. At both the complimentary food tasting event and afterwards, Chef Simon went through in great detail with us all our food choices and we were so happy with how delicious it all tasted on the day and the canapes in particular got demolished almost immediately! We also opted for their newer dessert bar option which was a super fun and relaxed way to finish the meal.
There is no doubt that Farnham Castle is a stunning venue but what sets it apart from other places are the incredible staff, and attention to detail that they put into every aspect of your day. We would highly recommend Farnham Castle and it truly was a fairytale wedding!”

“Our wedding at Farnham Castle was truly the best day of our lives. The venue is so beautiful with so much character that left all of our guests absolutely blown away. Come rain or shine there are spaces that made our day so special, and we managed to make the most of so many of the Castle’s beautiful rooms.

Every member of staff at Farnham Castle was supportive and calm and everything you could want from the people helping organise your big day. From the moment we met Laura we knew we were in safe hands; her kindness, patience and warm persona made us feel like absolutely nothing was too much trouble – we felt completely safe and knew that our wedding would go perfectly with her as our coordinator.

We are so glad we picked Farnham Castle for our wedding: the food and wine were absolutely divine and we had many  happy guests after our wedding breakfast; the rooms are beautiful, well maintained and perfect for any occasion and the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. We could not have asked for a better day. People often say that something will inevitably go wrong on your wedding day but there is nothing that either of us regret or would change about the day and that is largely due to the whole Farnham Castle team and their beautiful venue.”

“Farnham Castle is the most magical wedding venue – there is no other way to describe it. When we first visited and entered the Lantern and Great halls we both knew that this was not only the venue for us but that it would make our wedding a spectacular, perfect day. The history, splendour and setting of the venue made it immediately stand out from the rest.

We cannot thank all of the staff at Farnham enough for their constant support and positivity across both the planning stages and wedding day itself. Again, from the first visit, we felt welcomed as we discussed our initial vision and plans. They were always incredibly accommodating of our ideas and were there to offer guidance when needed. This reassured us as we felt like our day was in safe hands.

On the day itself the staff were again outstanding, sorting decorations, dealing with suppliers, creating the delicious food and resolving last minute changes with ease. It led to seamless, often unnoticeable transitions across the day and meant both ourselves and our guests were able to enjoy the day to the fullest without worry or issue.
We have heard many fantastic comments from our guests, praising the venue and it’s hard to put into words how grateful we are to have been able to get married at such a special place. But, from the absolute bottom of our hearts, we would like to say an enormous thank you for everything.
If we could come back and do it all over again we would!”

“We have been in such a wedding bubble and have been trying to draft this email over the last week – but it is finally ready to send. James and I got married at Farnham Castle on Thursday 27^th October 2022 and we wanted to send an email to say just how perfect everyone working at the castle made our day……..
Even before we had booked the venue, we were so impressed by how much care was shown by the staff each time we visited………. Heather, our wedding coordinator……. has always been on hand to answer any questions we have, no matter how silly they may have been. Our wedding day wouldn’t have been as perfect and run as smoothly as it did if it wasn’t for Heather and the team……..
We would finally like to thank the head waiter for helping to make our wedding so perfect.
Throughout the day, he was incredibly polite and had such a calm aura. I am not entirely sure how it’s possible to remain so calm when you’re in charge of food being served – but he did it. Everyone at the wedding was so amazed by the military precision of the food being served, ………. I remember attending a wedding at a five-star hotel in London where we definitely didn’t receive anywhere near the quality of service that we received at Farnham Castle……….
We would like to thank are the chefs and those who were working behind the bar / served drinks in the Great Hall. Every single person who attended our wedding commented on just how much they enjoyed the food. Again, it was unlike any food we have ever had at a wedding and was truly the best we have ever tasted. Even two weeks later, people are still talking about how incredible the food was, and how beautiful the venue is…..
Any couple who has this team of people looking after them on their wedding day should consider themselves very lucky.”
