The Great Hall
The Great Hall is the largest room at Farnham Castle, ideal for conferences and larger corporate events and with a definite wow factor. With natural daylight, high ceilings and a truly spacious feel, being situated on the ground floor, your delegates or guests will enjoy all the convenience of Wi-Fi, private parking and our superb in house catering, whilst experiencing the grandeur and the history. The stunning Gallery Bar situated on our mezzanine level overlooking the Hall, can be incorporated for events.
The Lantern Hall
The Lantern Hall can be hired as a stand-alone space or in conjunction with the Great Hall. Formerly the Castle’s Norman Kitchen, it’s a stunning room in its own right. It can also be used for functions or conferencing, as a break out space, for supplier set up, and for evening dining.
The Winchester Suite
The Winchester Suite with its beautiful views from the first floor of the Bishop’s Palace, over Farnham Park and our grounds, is a lovely light and airy conference or meeting space. A panelled room with a large drop-down screen over the central fireplace, can cater to full capacity or a more intimate meeting or event. It also boasts a private entrance from the Great Staircase allowing refreshment set-up just outside the main room. With access via the external staircase to our Rose Garden, it makes a wonderful room for an event when entertaining outside is part of the plan.
The Garden Room
Overlooking the Rose Garden at ground level, this room has been refurbished in a light, modern style which is the perfect foil to the exposed architectural features in this room. It’s a great room for a small canapé reception or private dinner. Access to the Rose Garden can be arranged.
The Library has simply some of the best views from the Bishop’s Palace. On the second floor, a bank of windows overlook Farnham and beyond, and by night, the views are even lovelier. It’s the perfect room for a Directors’ lunch or dining, and it makes an ideal Boardroom.
The Library Annex
The Library Annex is a perfect additional room to the Library itself as it can be used as a pre-dining reception room as well as for break-out purposes. It’s also a lovely meeting room in its own right, and it has the same stunning views over Farnham.
The Tindle Bar
The Tindle Bar is the very picture of laid-back luxury and can be hired for drinks receptions with any other event taking place at The Castle. With single-malt Scottish whiskies and local craft beers available, our ‘snug bar’ provides the ideal retreat for anyone with a penchant for the finer things in life.
Talbot One & Talbot Two
Talbot One and Two on the first floor of the Bishops Palace can be used separately or can be linked by an interconnecting door for more spacious requirements. Perfect room for team meetings and presentations. Both have high ceilings and natural light overlooking the Great Lawn.
Beaufort Three & Beaufort Four
Beaufort Three links to Beaufort Four by private corridor, and the two rooms may be hired individually or together. It’s on the second floor of the Bishop’s Palace, with high ceilings and views over Farnham. Refreshment set-up may be possible in an adjacent room, which allows delegates a change of scene.
Adjacent to the Great Hall and Lantern Hall, this area can be used on its own or in conjunction with one of the neighbouring rooms. Perfect space for pre dining drinks or refreshments during a day of meetings.
