You can choose to have either a religious or civil ceremony at Farnham Castle. The beautiful Lantern Hall and stunning Chapels, set within the Bishop’s Palace, each provide magnificent settings in which you can exchange your vows. While each space has its own character and style, they all share a tranquil atmosphere and elegance, which set the scene for a truly wonderful ceremony.
If you’ve planned to have a civil ceremony, you’ll marry in the bright and contemporary Lantern Hall, which is licensed for up to 150 guests.
The ancient Norman Chapel, the very oldest part of the Palace, is available to couples that would prefer a Church of England marriage service and is licensed for up to 80 guests.
The 17th century Bishop’s Chapel is truly unique. While small, and suitable for ceremonies with up to 60 guests, it’s the perfect setting for an intimate religious ceremony.
Registrar and religious wedding costs are not included in the venue hire cost and will need to be arranged separately. The Chapels are available exclusively for couples holding their reception at the Castle.
For further information on ceremony costs and who you need to contact, don’t hesitate to ask your wedding co-ordinator during your next visit.
