Farnham Castle teamed up with Farnham Town Council to celebrate the start of the festive season in Farnham, Surrey
On Saturday November 14th, 2020, Farnham Castle, along with 7 other locations across Farnham, shone a beacon of light from the Fox’s Steps, in to the sky to symbolise the start of the festive season, 2020. This creative idea was designed to keep people safe and at home, but to keep a positive spirit amongst the town as we approach the end of an unusual year.
“Commencing the festive season every November is always a special, magical time for children and adults alike, but this year it feels more appropriate than ever to recognise our community of Farnham” says Francesca Cribb of Farnham Castle. “The team at Farnham Castle, were delighted to have been invited to shine a beacon of light up in-to the sky on the evening of November 14th to highlight the festive season in Farnham and we hope, now more than ever, that 2021 will shine a light back down on our town so that we can continue to be the incredible community that we are.”
Saturday was an incredibly special evening and the 8 beacons really brought the Farnham Community together, albeit, from home. Our thanks go out to Farnham Town Council for creating such a beautiful, memorable, and extremely sensible event.
