Aside from the spectacular Great Lawn, Farnham Castle is surrounded by historic walls and boasts a Norman Keep. Wedding Ceremonies On-Site
Farnham Castle offers 5 locations for civil wedding ceremonies plus 2 Chapels for Church of England wedding ceremonies. Capacity wise, The Great Hall can seat up to 200 wedding guests for a wedding ceremony, and the Lantern Hall up to 150 guests; for more intimate weddings, The Library can seat up to 77 guests and of course there’s the stunning Winchester Suite for just over 100 guests. The Norman Chapel seats up to 80 guests, and The Bishop’s Chapel up to 60 guests, but live streaming of ceremonies can mean that all your guests can see you make your vows, if you choose one of our two Chapels but want to invite more guests to the Castle for your wedding. Farnham Castle’s Head Chef, Simon, has been leading the kitchen for over 17 years. His experience and his passion for culinary creativity is clear and apparent with every dish presented. Farnham Castle receives outstanding reviews for the food it serves, and if a couple were ever looking to present something a little different than offered by our current Beaufort, Montague and Winchester wedding menus, Simon and his team are always delighted to discuss individual ideas and create bespoke menus.

Farnham Castle is a private venue with 33 characterful en-suite bedrooms on-site, all with views of the venue or grounds, and are ideal for any wedding guests wishing to stay overnight. Our bedrooms comprise of single, twin and double rooms, plus an extra glamorous Honeymoon Suite for the newlywed couple to enjoy on their wedding night. The following morning, guests and the newlyweds can meet for breakfast in the Library before saying goodbye to Farnham Castle.

Bridal Preparation Suite
Not every wedding venue in Surrey will be able to offer a gorgeous bridal preparation suite such as The Gatehouse – and you won’t realise how valuable having this opportunity is, until you think about how stress-free it will be to prepare for your wedding on-site. Our unique 3-bedroom bridal preparation suite allows brides, bridesmaids or the groom and his team access from 8am on the morning of the wedding so that you can get ready for the wedding in complete comfort. Why not order a food hamper with celebratory Champagne to enhance your bridal prep? Our teams can make this happen! Hair and Makeup stylists may be invited into The Gatehouse, so that everything is kept private until the bride and bridesmaids make their way across the courtyard and up Fox’s Steps, into Farnham Castle ahead of the wedding ceremony.
