Visiting the Castle Keep

The Castle Keep is open to visitors most days but is closed between the 24th December and 31st January each year.

Opening hours are from 9am to 5pm (or dusk, if earlier) on weekdays, and from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays (last entry is half an hour before closing). Opening days can vary, and admission may be weather dependent.

It is advisable to check on opening before travelling any distance. Please note, access to the Keep is via steep, uneven steps.

Farnham Castle is a private venue for weddings and events, and apart from limited spaces for ‘blue badge’ holders, there is no car parking available for visitors to the Castle Keep.

Guided Tours of the Bishop’s Palace

Guided tours of the Bishop’s Palace are available on select Wednesday afternoons only, starting at 2pm (last tour starts at 3:30pm).

Please note that charges apply and that visitor numbers are limited.
Visit www.farnham-castle.com for details.

The guided tours of the Bishop’s Palace are hosted by volunteer guides from Farnham Castle Charity. We advise that you contact the Charity to check opening days and availability.
