If you’ve chosen (or are considering) a castle wedding venue, you’ll need a castle-worthy wedding dress to go with it. Some brides find luck during their first visit to a bridalwear shop, and others try on dozens of unique gowns before finding ‘the one’. To kick-start 2020, we teamed up with The Farnham Boutique, a local bridalwear shop located at the bottom of Castle Street in Farnham, who create and design dresses ranging between £1000 and £2500. The Farnham Boutique are very familiar with Farnham Castle and understand the beauty and elegance of the venue, so it made sense to showcase their latest collection within the grounds of Farnham Castle to inspire Surrey brides-to-be.

The Inspiration Behind the Styled Bridalwear Shoot at Farnham Castle

“We had a clear idea of what we wanted to achieve from the shoot” says Victoria Vida, owner of The Farnham Boutique. “We wanted to convey emotion, sentiment and passion to our brides. We wanted to express such intensity and have a certain moody light that shows the dresses off to their full potential, every detail of the lace and fabric.”

Victoria and her colleague Becky Southon styled this beautiful shoot at Farnham Castle, with a team of wedding suppliers who completely understood Farnham Castle’s vibe and setting. “A castle wedding venue demands a statement wedding dress, but to choose a design team who know and have experience with your venue could make finding or creating your dream wedding dress more enjoyable”, quotes Farnham Castle’s Head of Marketing, Francesca Cribb.

Wedding Dress Style: Adoria

Adoria is a romantic gown with capped sleeves and a flattering V-neckline. This gorgeous off-the-shoulder wedding dress screams romance from every angle and is a dream castle wedding gown for the bride wishing turn heads down the aisle indoors or out! Featuring a sweetheart neckline, floral detailing and a full skirt, this pretty wedding dress is perfect for spring or summer weddings at Farnham Castle.
