Castle-Worthy Wedding Dresses
A collection of elegant, castle-worthy wedding dresses, featured in a styled shoot at Farnham Castle, in collaboration with The Farnham Boutique.
If you’ve chosen (or are considering) a castle wedding venue, you’ll need a castle-worthy wedding dress to go with it. Some brides find luck during their first visit to a bridalwear shop, and others try on dozens of unique gowns before finding ‘the one’. To kick-start 2020, we teamed up with The Farnham Boutique, a local bridalwear shop located at the bottom of Castle Street in Farnham, who create and design dresses ranging between £1000 and £2500. The Farnham Boutique are very familiar with Farnham Castle and understand the beauty and elegance of the venue, so it made sense to showcase their latest collection within the grounds of Farnham Castle to inspire Surrey brides-to-be.
The Inspiration Behind the Styled Bridalwear Shoot at Farnham Castle
“We had a clear idea of what we wanted to achieve from the shoot” says Victoria Vida, owner of The Farnham Boutique. “We wanted to convey emotion, sentiment and passion to our brides. We wanted to express such intensity and have a certain moody light that shows the dresses off to their full potential, every detail of the lace and fabric.”
Victoria and her colleague Becky Southon styled this beautiful shoot at Farnham Castle, with a team of wedding suppliers who completely understood Farnham Castle’s vibe and setting. “A castle wedding venue demands a statement wedding dress, but to choose a design team who know and have experience with your venue could make finding or creating your dream wedding dress more enjoyable”, quotes Farnham Castle’s Head of Marketing, Francesca Cribb.
Castle-Worthy Wedding Dresses

Wedding Dress Style: Adoria
Adoria is a romantic gown with capped sleeves and a flattering V-neckline. Intricate floral detail feature within the tulle and with this wedding dress you benefit from a fitted bodice with a skirt that moves – not forgetting the plunging V at the back and the gorgeous long train. We think this gown suits a spring wedding at Farnham Castle to a T!
Wedding Dress Style: Harlow
Simplicity at its best. If you’re looking for a gown to accessorise with a fabulous veil or statement jewellery, this simple but stunning creation could be for you. The spaghetti straps will leave you cool during the summer months but if you’re looking to enhance or change the design slightly, the team at The Farnham Boutique can work with you to create a bespoke style, unique to you.
Wedding Dress Style: Haven
This gorgeous off-the-shoulder wedding dress screams romance from every angle and is a dream castle wedding gown for the bride wishing turn heads down the aisle indoors or out! Featuring a sweetheart neckline, floral detailing and a full skirt, this pretty wedding dress is perfect for spring or summer weddings at Farnham Castle. In contrast to the Harlow wedding dress design, Haven requires very little accessorising due to the amount of eye-catching detail.
Wedding Dress Style: Mia
Mia is a figure hugging, flattering design featuring a plunging V-neckline and a deep V the back. The gorgeous lace detail is enhanced in the medium sized train, and this wedding dress would look truly fabulous walking down the aisle of either The Norman Chapel or The Bishop’s Chapel within Farnham Castle.
Wedding Dress Style: Miriam
If you’re on the hunt for a comfortable wedding dress with a Grecian twist, Miriam could be ‘the one’. This lovely Empire line wedding dress features a paisley design and thin straps. As you can see, Miriam is an easy wedding dress to wear as you enjoy walking around Farnham Castle and grounds with your wedding photographer.
Wedding Dress Style: Myla
Myla is a wedding dress for all seasons. This gown has the look of a strapless dress, with straps that can be worn over the shoulder, or off-the-shoulder, depending on your personal style. You could even have these removed if you love the design but are dreaming of a strapless wedding dress. If you’re getting married at Farnham Castle during the latter Autumn or Winter months, speak to The Farnham Boutique about how to stay warm during the day. A shrug or even adding longer sleeves could be an option.
