Farnham Castle wrapping up a busy year
As 2022 draws to a close, our team are looking back at the busy and exciting year we’ve had at Farnham Castle. We have lots to be thankful for, and not least for a year when lock downs didn’t stop our weddings and events, and cause our clients the stresses of re-organisation.
We have celebrated many milestones, both with clients, guests and staff, and we’ve expanded our team, being fortunate to attract people passionate about hospitality, at a time when our industry has faced challenges.
SPRING
We spent the New Year, back at the start of 2022, showing newly engaged couples around Farnham Castle who were looking for Summer wedding dates in 2022 and beyond, as well as families and businesses looking for specific dates to coincide with major events.
In February we shared Party Planning Tips, featuring ideas for hosting your perfect event; from your invitations to décor, the fine details and food & drink. And, in March we introduced you to the team who make it all happen here at the Castle, whose collective years of party planning experience always ensure a seamless event.
SUMMER / AUTUMN
As a fresh spring turned in to a very hot summer, our Grounds and Garden Team shared knowledge on how our own garden grows. Our Groundsman Paul Schofield, who celebrated 30 Years of Service at Farnham Castle, at the end of November this year, shared interesting facts about our grounds, from the shape of our daffodils on our Great Lawn, to the maintenance of our working Kitchen Garden.
In June we took a look back at Farnham Castle’s historic timeline; from when our story began in 1138, to remembering the Kings and Queens who frequented the Castle on a regular basis in the past.
During July and August, we highlighted Outdoor weddings and a full summer menu from our Head Chef, Simon, as well as ways to beat the heat, during an incredibly sunny Summer!
WINTER
For the past few months, we’ve been planning and looking forward to our Christmas Party season. Our Winter Wonderland themed Christmas Parties, this year, have welcomed past ‘regulars’ and new businesses, all with a focus on festive celebrations. We’ll be releasing our 2023 Party Dates in January, so if you missed out this year, we’d love to welcome you to enjoy our spectacular Christmas trees, welcoming vibe, and delicious Winter Party Menu, and to celebrate Christmas 2023 at Farnham Castle.
