Managing a Multicultural Team

The successful leadership and direction of a team composed of a collection of different cultures requires a new management approach and style with a sensitivity and acceptance of unfamiliar methods and thought processes. Understanding that cultural differences provide an opportunity for broader thinking and alternative challenge resolution will enhance the overall effective performance of the team.

This programme is designed to provide participants with a better understanding of the other team members’ culture and business practices and to give them the tools for starting and building up a successful multicultural team

This workshop will:

  • provide an understanding of Cultural Diversity and its implications in the workplace
  • examine the various communication and management styles of different nationalities
  • raise awareness of the possible tensions arising from cultural "clashes" and how to avoid them
  • outline the tools required to communicate effectively face-to-face and remotely with team members
  • develop an action plan to maximise the productivity of a multicultural team

The Result

By the end of the programme participants will have knowledge of the skills and tools required to build and manage a constructive and productive working relationship with their fellow members directly and remotely

This programme is normally delivered in a 1 day format
